HCSB Journaling Bible is supposed to be published the summer 2015. I have just requested a review copy in order to review and promote both on my blog sites, my web site and with my parishioners. I love the HCSB version and am looking forward to a wide margin edition to use in this Bible translation.

We'll I am back blogging after several life-changing events over the last 2 years!!
Granddaughter born ... Deaths of my mother-in-law and my 98 years "young" Dad ...
Moving down Island close to our wonderful little granddaughter ...
" ... And what more shall I say about ... "
BUT NOW
back to blog
I am really anticipating and excited about the soon to be published ESV Psalter by Crossways.
The PDF sampler of Psalms 1-11 looks absolutely wonderful and very enticing to not only ask for a review copy but also to ask that all150 Psalms be available for those who get the Psalter as they are fantastic when printed out.
Especially for preaching wide-margin all around the PDF print!!
I have just begun preaching through the book of Psalms with my dear folks and congregants on Thetis Island and so want to promote and use this ESV PSALTER! We are going to study, meditate and preach on Psalm 3 next.
My Mind maps of each of the Psalms will be available here.
So ... I am going to request a review and promotion copy from Crossway Publishers.
I'll post next as soon as I hear from them or receive my copy of the Psalter. Also I will link to the PDF sampler they provide.
We'll worth your looking and getting it!

Here is a link for Tom Wrights,' The Kingdom New Testament. Just a delightful read. I have already ;purchased 2 copies of the book - only comes in hardback for those of us who live in Canada. I thought I could get it as an EBook - but after contacting Barnes and Noble NO SUCH LUCK!?! Even though I could download the sampler to read on my Nook! What gives here?
Oh well, with my 2 copies I have made one into a looseleaf edition so as to put in a 3 ring binder and use as my preaching New Testament - I will also be able to make this a Diglot by putting the Greek New Testament in also.
The translation is fantastic - and check out the maps that are on most pages of Luke's Acts!! What a gem.

The HCSB Study Bible is coming to me! PTL
Several days ago Tim Jordan was in contact with me with the great news that he was sending me a copy of the HCSB Study Bible. I am so looking forward to receiving it hopefully this week. Then I can start reviewing it in standard review form and also by using mind maps in my review. I am looking forward also to being able to make comparative analysis of it in terms of the other Study Bibles out there of a comparable size/status e.g. the NIV Study Bible, TNIV, NLT, ESV, NOAB, the Cambridge Study Bible, the Reformation Study Bibleand the REB Study Bible.
How many sleeps are left ...??!!

HOLMAN CHRISTIAN STUDY BIBLE
I have sent, at least a week ago, an email off to Tim Jordan, Book Marketing at Broadman and Holman Publishers asking for a copy of the hot off the press Holman Christian Study Bible asking for a copy of this great new study resource. I said I wanted to review it on this site to make you all aware of its great features.
I have only seen some of these features online with the Matthew Sample and the Lifeways online BETA version.
I haven't had any response from Tim yet and I failed to give him my snail mail address, so I today am sending another email with that address on it in the hopes that he will send me a copy, just like those who published the ESV Study Bible and the NLT Study Bible sent me copies.
I will keep you posted on any developments with this - also about any of the Inclusive Bible EPub which is advertised in their hard copy version but so far seems not to have been produced.
An EPub version of the Holman Christian Study Bible that uses a Windows engine would also be very helpful for those of us who don't have an iPod/Pad nor have any thoughts of buying one!

The Inclusive Bible
Well, after being away from my site for many months, I am now intent and inspired to begin blogging again. I have just received the Inclusive Bible published by Altamira Press [an imprint of Rowman and Littleford] by Priests for Equality. Since I am going to be reviewing the translation on my site, I was fascinated by the info on the verso of the Title page that shows an ISBN for an eBook edition of this translation.
I have now tried several ways in which to get this eISBN noted and have met with no success so far, but through the process have been put in contact with a very helpful person who works at Rowman and Littleford. She is going to try to find a way for me to get the eBook version which shows on their site as being available for purchase. But trust me - at this point it doesn't seem to be even though you can go through all the screens to purchase it, it still seems that it is the hard copy book that you are purchasing.
But hang in there as Lynsey is going to see how I might be able to get the download so that I can as I have hoped write a review of the eBook version in my blog at the same time that I am reading and reviewing the hard copy version.
